3 years ago today we said goodbye to Caesar.
He was K.C. & my first dog; he made us somewhat newlyweds a family instead of a couple.
He picked us from a lot of rescue dogs a few years before Lilly was around.
He wasn’t a hunting dog, he wasn’t a fishing dog, he snorted, he shed everywhere.
He was awesome.
Thinking of you today buddy.
One of the toughest things I've ever been through is the loss of the family pet.
You always remember them, no matter how long they've been gone.
As old as Howard, Mark, and I are, we have been through these tough times a few more than others. Mike, did you and K.C. and Lilly have another dog pick you as owners? Sometimes that helps……..
Thanks guys for the kind thoughts.Yes, we've had another dog since. He was also a rescue, but much rougher around the edges. He was generally obedient, but not really affectionate. We never bonded like we did with Caesar. Unfortunately, he too left us too soon, earlier this year. I'd like to give it a full year and try again after the holidays.
