Tonight after Lilly was in bed, I was picking up the living room a little bit and shuffling through a pile of her scribbles and doodles from the past few days. I came across this one.
It's a picture of Lilly, K.C., & I, shortest to tallest. Lilly and Mommy have matching "Princess Dresses" with a picture of a crown on the chest. And Daddy...he's got a fishing rod with line out...perhaps trying to snag the bottom of Mommy's dress. Notice the reel up by my head.
It never ceases to amaze me what kids pick up on and how they see the world. This one is a keeper.
Great stuff! Glad you pointed out that what you had in your hand was a fishing rod. My first thought was that it was your chorded computer mouse.
ReplyDeleteI knew it was a fishing rod. What else would you have in your hand. Kids...gotta love em. She's a keeper to.
ReplyDeleteI know how you feel about trying to keep all of the art work. My oldest is 5 and I have two rubber maid containers full of stuff and still find it hard to put things in the circular file, esp. if she finds a piece of scrap she doodled in the can.
ReplyDeleteEven though you're in a dress, you look very happy. :) It says something to me that your Lilly has drawn you all with big, happy smiles. :)
ReplyDeletePS - that kid has artistic-left-brain leanings no doubt...there's something about that drawing....something more than just "a kid scribbling" on paper. If you weren't in love with it so much, and if I had the money, I'd offer to buy it.
Great picture. Looks like you have a professional artist in the family. Great JOb!!

ReplyDeleteNo problem. Could have been a hair dryer.
@Cofisher
ReplyDeleteI guess she's a keeper.
@Kiwi
ReplyDeleteIt's crazy right? I think our kids are cut from the same cloth.
@Owl
ReplyDeleteBig smiles and dresses, that's how we roll in these parts.
@Trout Magee
ReplyDeleteWe'll see...Daddy wants a bass boat.
