I'm Biting On The OBN Photo Prompt

I don't usually rush out and do the various OBN blog post prompts.  No, not because I think I'm "too cool" for them (which I happen to be) or anything like that, just because I usually don't have any issues thinking up blog content.  I think of the prompts as something to keep in your back pocket alongside the lint and crumbled up receipt from Wendy's.  But today, I'm cashing in the prompt, well...just because.

Here's a photo of "My Favorite Outdoor Place".
Ironically taken from...indoors...

You're probably thinking, huh?  No bubbling brook full of trout?  No tropical beach looking out at the surf?  Nah.  Why?  Because all of those places are so one dimensional.  Name me a place that can be all of the following (with indoor plumbing no more than 20 yards away) and more...

A campground...

waterpark...

horticultural laboratory...

casting "pond"...

fireworks theater...

tricycle racetrack...

and who knows what else; because in my favorite outdoor place we're limited only by our imaginations.

And just my luck, I get to visit every day.

  2. You're a lucky man to have the place you like the most, just outside your door.

  4. I call foul Mike. None of the rest of us had the beautiful Miss Lilly to grace our photos.

  5. There's no place like home...There's no place like home...And when you have it that good, who can blame you!

    Right on Mike!

  6. What a cool angle! Great post man! :)
As you know, I can usually hold my own with the brainstorming for blog post ideas, too. I do like to do the OBN things though, because it gives me a "not so tooting my own horn" way to put a link to OBN on the comments section of the prompt! :)
