In doing such, I wanted to create a page about tenkara fishing. I've really become engaged with it and just wanted to put some resources down for others who may like to take a similar leap. While setting up the page, I was re-reading some older posts of mine, and realized the first time I went tenkara fishing was on 10/5/2009. Appears I've been doing it for a year. Also figured the best way to celebrate this "anniversary" was to grab my rod and head down to Valley Creek, site of the first outing.
I won't bore you with most of the details. If you've read one tenkara blog post on Valley Creek from me, you've probably read them all. On that first day, I caught one tiny trout. Today I caught 4. Not a huge haul, but 4 times better, right?
Here are some pics from the outing.

Also, going to take a tip from Bill over at the "Fishing Through Life" blog, and show the tools & flies used on today's outing. (Check out Bill's blog if you have a chance, he's celebrating a milestone of his own - 50 followers - congrats Bill!)
