Thank You For Your Cooperation

Last Saturday was one of those days on the water.  No, it was not the typical day of finicky small stream trout frustration, yielding only a few takes and even fewer landed.  Rather, the weather was warm, the fish were frisky (and hungry), and good karma came my way.

There were more…but I’m sure you’re tired of looking at my hand by now.

  1. I thought you vowed to get away from Valley Creek this year…..but heck, with fish coming to you like that, I can't blame ya. 😉 Nice browns. Love the color. You catch anything else in there? Do they get bigger?

  2. Those are some nice pictures, Congrats! I work just a couple of miles away from Valley Creek and after seeing these pictures I'm even more excited to get over there with my new Tenkara rod.

  3. MichaelBeautiful trout in or out of the water. I can barely see the fly, was it a Prince Nymph or Hare's Ear or neither? Thanks for sharing

  4. I still plan on fishing different spotss. The last two fishing trips were last minute, and only for a few hours (VC is 15 minutes from my house). It's only brown trout water, although you'll find some suckers too. My PB at Valley was about 16 or 17″, but it's small water so not a ton of large fish.

  5. hmmm. Looks like they are the same fish with different camera effects. Just kidding mike, I'm just jealous because I haven't been on the water in months. Way to get after them.

  6. I fished VC Dec 28 and saw a school of about 40 fish – some lunkers in there for sure – all i did was see them. Will have to get up there again real soon. Looks like the Tully for me this weekend

  7. Lovely trout. I especially like the photo of the brook trout in the water. Just lovely!Have fun playing brook trout,Mats Olsson, Sweden

  8. Oh, gotcha. Well, I'm not complaining or anything. Just wanting to prod you in the right direction. Yellow Breeches, LeTort, Penn's Creek. 🙂 16 inches is a mighty fine trout for any water.

  9. Damn, you did learn something from me! Either that or….even a blind dog finds a bone once in a while….LOL….Glad you had a great day on de water

  10. The above pictures are nice. After seeing these pictures I'm excited to get over there. I must say the fish-lady looks great with red dots.

  11. Yeah, I think I know of what you speak. Some of the biggest ones are likely suckers, but there are some nice fat browns, especially below the covered bridge.

  12. You'll be proud I only lost one fly the entire day, and that was on a rock, not in a tree! I need to get you down to VC when it is not like 20 degrees. The fish actually bite!
